MALCOLM McLAREN - Paris 1994

As promised, another Malcolm McLaren album. This could not be farther from the last. Although partly classed as 'electronic' - I don't really see that - it's more smoky barroom jazz with some almost lush orchestrals and spoken word. With guests such as Catherine Deneuve and Francoise Hardy, alone or in duet with McLarens reedy vocals, this is an album I go back to. 'Miles and Miles of Miles Davies' uses the phrase 'Jazz is Paris and Paris is jazz', which leads nicely into the next track which is called .. oddly .. 'Jazz is Paris'.

See what he did there !!:)
