Did you ever buy an album for one track?
This 1973 production is one of those. Originally formed with some members of Iron Butterfly, Captain Beyond's second album title track fits into my category of 'perfect' songs.
It's an unknown quality. For some reason, some songs are just so complete that they fill a permanent space in your head
Tracy almost bounces when I play this. She said the other day .."this takes you wherever it wants .. ok, we're going here .. I'll come along .. "
It's one of those songs.
The rest of the album is different .. described as almost Santana-like. It's good and of it's time, but for me, the title track is worth the price of admission.
